Jeremiah ProjectJeremiah Project  The Jeremiah Project was founded in 1997 by three Youth Ministers from the Virginia Conference of the United Methodist Church. Todd Allen Freneaux, the Rev. Abi Foerster, and Barbara Russell all felt there was a tremendous need for a Christ-centered mission trip experience designed specifically for Junior High youth. Selecting Jeremiah 1:7 from the Old Testament of the Bible as their foundational scripture, the Jeremiah Project was born.

bulletHarvest of HopeHarvest of Hope The Society of St. Andrew organizes a gleaning project on the various farms across the US. Through gleaning, study and worship, participants learn that through Christian interaction within the community, they can "DO" something about hunger. Food that would otherwise go to waste is harvested and donated to the hunger outreach programs within the area. Participants learn about their Christian responsibility toward the hungry and disenfranchised.
bulletASPAppalachia Service Project Chester UMC's youth are now two-summer veterans of ASP. ASP is a rewarding home-repair ministry focusing on the Appalachia coal-mining region of the Eastern U.S. Centers are set up for eleven weeks in the mountains of Virginia, West Virginia, Tennessee, North Carolina and Kentucky. ASP uses the hands and talents of the many volunteers from all over the US along with the gifts of energy, time and materials from our supporters to make the homes of the poor in Appalachia "Warmer, Safer, Drier."

Heifer ProjectThe Heifer Project You would be amazed at the difference the simple gift of an animal can make in the life of a struggling family. Browse this catalog of truly meaningful gifts and help families around the world become self-reliant. This is one of my favorite ministry projects. Check them out and make a donation. It is one of the more effective fund-raising charities out there.
